Lonely Tree

Art Every Day Month (AEDM) has been a blast and I am thankful that I found Leah's website. Thank you to all who have left comments. Thank you also to Leah Piken Kolidas, who started the Creative Every Day blog, and inspires all of us to live a creative life. I hope to continue on with Creative Every Day, the year-long challenge. Even though my AEDM paintings aren't masterpieces, I feel accomplished.

The past two days I've felt like painting in black and white. Maybe it's my dull mood from the weather. I love black and white though! Here is the painting I worked on this morning based on a photo that I took at Garden of the Gods last summer, the last of my AEDM paintings for 2009!

8 X 10 Acrylic on Canvas Board

  1. Wonderful painting. Being at the Garden of the Gods is so awe inspiring. Thank you for sharing your work with AEDM.

  2. how have I missed your posts?...this is minimal and so stark in its beauty

  3. What a wonderful painting. Where is Garden of the Gods?

  4. yes it was a blast, i feel like I am missing very much that :-(
but i guess it was that adrenaline feeling of accomplishment too, yes?
your painting is unique, love this black and white, i got me a set of the manga colors (black, grayish) and yes it is super fun to play with those colors
